Fire pit and willing workers

Aram decided to have a day off finally and get a fire permit. We are trying to clean up our woods and make a college campus park in our yard. We have tons of dead trees and sticks everywhere.

The kids wanted some friends over on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. I ran to town to get some last minute things before the baby comes. (There are always last minute things aren't there?)

When I got back, I saw every kid gathering sticks and digging a fire pit! Aram had put them to work. When they were done, Aram put a log across the pit and the kids had a blast crossing it and jumping over the pit.

They were extremely dirty, so I fed them spaghetti outside. Then the parents came over after their dinner and we roasted smores and the kids played ghost in the graveyard until bath time!
