As of right now... the leach field failed upon inspection at the house we're looking at. We don't know if he's going to fix it or not. Also to insure that house and to get water damage insurance is 1700 dollars a year!!! We need the water damage insurance b/c the basement is below the water table. Now we're not sure we can afford this house w/ insurance, 8300 dollars in land taxes, and the interest rate rising so rapidly in the past month. It might not be worth it now.
I hate house shopping as much as car shopping!!!! Realtors are pitbulls and not very nice most times. And playing the "game" is not fun. What happened to buying one house and staying there like our parents? I really miss simple farm life.
